From Langesund to Helgeroa

From the little ferry to Helgeroa, in Southern Norway, I've seen many islands and private houses reached only by boat...

Cycling in Telemark

Cycling there has been lovely: many lakes, rivers and forests... No traffic at all and the weather has been good too!!!

Beware of elks!!!

The only company I had there...

Wilderness campingsite

It's tough travelling in such way for 920 km, but the beauty of that nature sometimes can make you forget the tiredness...

Mountain pass near Lyngdal

Too much humidity gave me some problems to my camera; when I was up there the camera didn't work anymore.... I bought some new batteries for it (4 at 6 euros!!!) but it has been useless. Only some minutes later (and after phoning to Italy...) I succeded in take this photo. Cool!!!

The North Sea cycle route

The North Sea cycle route (Nordsiovegen) is a 4000 km itinerary around the North Sea between Norway, Denmark, Germany, Holland, England and Scotland. I cycled the Norwegian part between Flekkefjord and Haugesund; even if full of uphills, it offered me many great views.

The North Sea cycle route 2

Who said the South of Norway is flat???

After the rain storm in Ogna

This is the family who helped me while I was in the middle of a rain storm in Ogna. The tent wasn't good enough for all that water and before reaching them in their motorhome the only way for me to "survive" was waiting for better times in the camping site toilet... Thanks!!! I spent all the evening with them before going to sleep in the kitchen...

Norway or Scotland?

Stavanger

Here's a view of the pier in Stavanger, one of the biggest Norwegian cities.

A lift to Haugesund

As the sky became dark he offered me a 20 km lift on the way to Haugesund. I met him on the ferry between Stavanger and Skudeneshavn. Thanks to you too!!!

"Frecce Tricolori" in the Norwegian sky

The Italian acrobatic team of "Frecce Tricolori" were in Norway, on a fjord not far from Bergen, to train themselves. I've been lucky to see them: I was in the West coast on the fast ferry to Bergen and their show were just for us 'cause each city was very far from that area!

Looking at my future...

Bergen, the capital of West coast

Bergen, also known as capital of the fjords. Lovely city and nice people, I spent there two days and for all the time I've seen just rain...

Quiet countryside

At the end of my cycling travel, sweet landscapes of sunny quiet countryside...
